The basics
Foundational problems such as nutrition, dental disease, and parasite burden still matter, especially when a horse is losing condition or simply not thriving. These basics are addressed carefully rather than treated as an afterthought.
Field Procedures
Selected field procedures can be performed on a case-by-case basis, including castration, sequestrectomy, joint lavage, and sinus trephination when the horse and situation are appropriate.
